Location & Route Data
To provide weather forecasts along your routes, we access:
- Route data you import (GPX files, Strava routes)
- Waypoint coordinates along your routes for weather lookups
Information from Strava
If you connect your Strava account, we access:
- Basic profile information (name, athlete ID)
- Your saved routes and route data
Weather Data
We use Apple WeatherKit to fetch forecasts for waypoints along your routes. Weather data is fetched in real-time and not permanently stored.
Device Information
We collect minimal device information necessary for the app to function:
- iOS version
- App preferences and settings
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Generate hour-by-hour weather forecasts along your routes
- Display temperature, precipitation, and wind data for your rides
- Import and display your Strava routes
- Maintain your app preferences
Data Storage and Security
- Route data is stored locally on your device
- Weather data is fetched on-demand and cached temporarily
- Your Strava authentication token is securely stored in the iOS Keychain
- We do not store your personal data on external servers
Data Sharing
We do not share your personal information with any third parties. We do not:
- Sell your data
- Share your route or activity information
- Use your data for marketing purposes
- Track your location independently
Third-Party Services
DraftCast integrates with the following services:
- Apple WeatherKit — for weather forecast data, subject to Apple's privacy policy
- Strava API — for route import (optional), subject to Strava's privacy policy
- RevenueCat — for subscription management, subject to RevenueCat's privacy policy
